Porsche Panamera - Von der Idee zur Perfektion

In 2009, an idea took shape that has already played a role in the history of the Porsche company several times - that of a powerful, four-door touring sedan that also has sporty genes.
This goal had already been almost achieved in 1988 with the 989 prototype, but for strategic reasons it was decided against series production. It would take more than twenty years before this vision became reality with the Porsche Panamera.

That the design of this fourth series was strongly reminiscent of the Porsche Cayenne? No coincidence. The Cayenne was not only the first series Porsche to have more than two doors, it also paved the way for the layout with a water-cooled front engine and rear or all-wheel drive.
The Panamera complemented these characteristics with extremely sporty handling, which brought it closer to the 911, as well as the luxurious interior, which turned it into a rolling business lounge.
