La Fiat 126 è stata l'erede dell'indimenticabile 500 e ne ha raccolto il non facile ruolo di vettura minima, compatta ed economica.

La 128 è stata uno dei modelli Fiat più importanti degli anni Settanta. Vettura di spirito internazionale, fra le più vendute d'Europa della sua epoca, è stata tecnologicamente all'avanguardia, prima Fiat con motore trasversale e trazione anteriore e con elevati standard di sicurezza.
Per oltre quindici anni ha rappresentato la classica berlina per le famiglie, ma ha mostrato anche un carattere forte e dinamico con le sue varianti sportive.
