Il mistero 204 - La prima Abarth, l'ultima Cisitalia

Este libro ilustrado analiza el origen del Cisitalia-Abarth 204, el coche con el que Nuvolari logró la última victoria de su carrera. Explica quién diseñó realmente el modelo, por qué se planificaron solo ocho unidades y cuántas se construyeron en realidad. También aclara por qué un automóvil creado por Cisitalia pasó a estar relacionado con Carlo Abarth y cómo el declive de Cisitalia permitió el nacimiento de la marca Abarth.

El libro presenta fotografías poco comunes y documentos inéditos, incluido el contrato entre Cisitalia y Porsche para construir el F.1 360 de Gran Premio y otros proyectos avanzados. También muestra a los protagonistas de este período decisivo a finales de los años cuarenta, cuando el Escorpión Abarth se convirtió en un nombre destacado de la historia del automóvil.

Abarth 1949-1971 - Gran Turismo 'Da Corsa' / Racing GTS

This book is distinguished from other publications thanks to a number of innovative, original features. It gives centre place to the images of the various models in question, specifically the Abarth racing GTs, privileging contemporary photographs, almost all of them previously unpublished. The period examined runs from 1949, the year of the official founding of Abarth & C, through to 1971, the conclusion of Abarth's independent history with its acquisition by Fiat.

The book examines only those cars that were raced and they are all documented within the context of specific events. The main aim of the text is to record, year by year, the most evident aesthetic and mechanical modifications made to the individual models. The documentation has all been drawn from rigorously contemporary books, magazines and official programmes and has been faithfully reproduced.

Abarth 1949-1971 - Sport e Prototipi

There was a time in which the Abarths, the cars carrying the Scorpion badge, were challenging far more powerful and prestigious marques such as Porsche and Ferrari in endurance races and the Mountain Championship classics. At that time, between the dawn of the 1950s and the early 1970s, the Abarths wrote memorable chapters in the history of sports car and prototype racing too, with cars of incredible appeal raced by drivers of international repute.

Following the book devoted to Abarth GT racing cars, this volume, again written by Renato Donati, one of the leading Abarth enthusiasts and experts, focuses on the sports cars and prototypes. All the Abarths that have competed in the category, in particular in Italy between 1949 and 1971, are analysed one by one.
As usual, the book is embellished by a wealth of previously unpublished black and white and colour photographs.
