ETR200 - Record mondiale di velocità del 20 luglio 1939 con 203 km/h

Eighty years after that memorable day - it was in fact 20 July 1939 when the ETR 212 set the World Speed Record with a speed of 203 km/h - the publisher thought it appropriate to republish a publication issued at the time by the CIFI, relating to that historic event.
The ETR.212, holder of the World Speed Record in 1939, is still in service today: in fact, after having assumed its new name of ETR.232 in September 1963, it was largely restored to its original appearance, becoming an integral part of the FS Foundation Historical Park, to be used for period or celebratory trains.

The volume will be of interest to the many collectors and enthusiasts of the fascinating world of railways, who will now have at their disposal another important testimony to the Italian railway history.
A special thanks to Maurizio Panconesi who, thanks to his archives and his passion for railways, has made this precious publication possible.
The A4-size volume consists of 28 pages + cover with flaps + 4 multi-page folded technical plates.

L'elettrotreno ETR 300 - Settebello

November 21, 1952, was a historic date for the Italian railways: on that day, the futuristic electric train ETR.301 left the Breda factory in Sesto San Giovanni, the first of the planned series of eight units destined to give a new face to our railways; a few months later, in March 1953, the second unit, the ETR.302, followed, while we had to wait another six years to see the third and last unit - the ETR.303 - which came out on February 14, 1959.

In fact, the ETR 300 series came to an end with this third unit, because the "reduced" version of the "Settebello", the ETR.250, made up of only four elements and later called "Arlecchino", was about to be released.

It is precisely on the occasion of the return to service of the ETR.252 to run prestigious period trains that this historic monograph on the ETR 300, its progenitor, is published. It its a detailed description, which appears as an extract from the July/August 1953 issue of Ingegneria Ferroviaria magazine.
