DAF torpedofront-trucks - Dertig jaar stoere neuzen 1957-1986: Torpedo, N 2500 en N 2800

En 1957 DAF introduisait une nouvelle série de camions à capot, d'abord sans cabine et depuis 1958 avec une cabine d'usine. Ces "torpilles" de style américain avec leur pare-brise panoramique étaient des camions appréciés, en particulier par les artisans transporteurs.

En 1973, après une brève relation avec International, DAF proposait la série N2500 à capot basée sur le IH Paystar, mais sans résultat commercial.

Par contre la série N2800 de 1980 étaient un grand succès. Ces camions solides était particulièrement bien reçu en Afrique et au Moyen-Orient.
Après Jan de Rooy remportait la victoire dans le rallye Paris-Dakar en 1982 avec 'Le Nez', le N2800 devenait également un camion lourd populaire aux Pays-Bas.

Ce livre en langue néerlandaise raconte l'histoire de trente ans de camions DAF à capot. Environ 8000 des premières "torpilles" ont été produites, du N2500 seulement 8 et de la série N2800 environ 800.
En plus des données techniques, le livre contient environ 300 illustrations, dont la moitié en couleurs.

DAF 2600 - Klassieker van de weg

The introduction of the DAF 2600 at the RAI exhibition in 1962 was a sensation, particularly garnering praise for its cabin design. What is now considered commonplace, such as power steering, cabin heating, and windshield wipers, received special attention at that time. The truck found favor with transportation companies and especially with drivers.

Production of the 2600 continued until 1974, with approximately 15,000 trucks and tractors rolling off the assembly line. Currently, around 60 DAF 2600s are preserved or have their registration still present at the RDW (Dutch Vehicle Authority).

This book provides a comprehensive overview of all produced variants and is a revised edition of the original book with an additional 16 pages. It includes many new photos, a significant portion in color, showcasing the 2600s in action and during testing, along with technical information and descriptions. In addition to featuring vintage vehicles, there is also a diverse collection of model cars. A special section includes pages providing descriptions of 2600s at various transport companies.

DAF kantelcabines - Eerste generatie en Club van 4

At the RAI-1970 exhibition, DAF unveiled a completely new series of commercial vehicles with a tilting cabin, followed by the Club van 4 series in 1975. However, due to DAF's launch of the heavy F 2800 series in 1974, succeeding the renowned 2600 series, the first generation tilting cabins and the Club van 4 have always been somewhat underrepresented in publicity. This is entirely unjustified, as there were thousands of satisfied users. These trucks served as workhorses in distribution, and hundreds were supplied as garbage trucks and fire engines.

The standout models were the 6x6 types and the 4-axle configurations. Remarkably, they remained in production for a very long time, with the last types rolling off the assembly line in 1992.

This book provides an overview of all versions of the First Generation and the Club van 4, featuring around 300 color photos and several dozen unique black-and-white images.

DAF at Work - 2800, 3300, 3600

Although now owned by the American company, Paccar, and with links to Leyland, the roots of DAF trucks are firmly in Eindhoven, Holland. The company started truck manufacture relatively late, but in the early 1970s it took an industry lead with its flagship 2800.
The 'Supercontinental' version, with its wide tilt sleeper cab with two full-size bunks and its powerful 11.6-litre DAF engine was a natural for long-haul work. The successor 3300 and 3600 models took the company into the 1980s, running alongside Scania and Volvo as a long-distance driver's favourite. The 330 hp engine suited it for the heavy-duty special transport that became a feature of the period.

This book is rich in photographs from the 1970s and '80s.

DAF F2800 trucks en trekkers: Kilometervreters

Alors que le DAF F 2800 était déjà un succès lors de son introduction en 1973, la série F 2800 a continué à connaître du succès au fil des années grâce aux innovations : à la fois techniquement (moteurs diesel avec turbo intercooling) et en termes de confort (cabines Supercontinental, Space Cab, Topsleeper).

Ce livre en langue néerlandaise présente en mots et en images le développement de ces camions et tracteurs DAF, de l'introduction en 1973 jusqu'à la fin de production en 1986, ainsi que l'exportation de camions d'occasion vers l'Afrique et au Suriname.

DAF F3300 en F3600 trucks en trekkers - Krachtpaarden

En 1987, la série DAF F 95 apparait avec beaucoup de systèmes électroniques. Pas tous les clients étaient satisfaits de cela.
DAF a toujours écouté attentivement ses clients. C'est pourquoi à partir de 1990, les séries F2900 et F3200 ont été introduites avec l'ancienne technologie familière, principalement destinée à l'exportation.

Cet ouvrage en langue néerlandaise donne un aperçu de toutes les versions des camions et tracteurs DAF F 3300 et F 3600. En plus il parle des rallyes Paris-Dakar.
Un chapitre présente les dépanneuses DAF YBZ 3300 6x6, fournies par DAF à l'armée néerlandaise dans les années 1992/1993.

DAF 65 - 75 - 85 - CF - New Medium Line: stoere werkpaarden met karakter

At the I.A.A. in May 1992, DAF unveiled the DAF 75 and 85 (New Medium Line), surprising the trucking world. These new trucks for the demanding mid-range segment were characterized by the splendid F 230 cabin, developed entirely in-house by DAF. The introduction of the two-axle versions of the New Medium Line (NML) began in October 1992, followed by the launch of the DAF 65 in January 1993.
With various series, engines, axles, axle configurations, and beautiful cabins, DAF Trucks N.V. laid a solid foundation for growth and success.

In 1998, at the BedrijfsautoRAI, DAF unveiled the improved version of the New Medium Line, referred to as CF (Compact Forte). These new trucks were warmly received and, together with the 95XF introduced in 1997, contributed to significant growth.

The photo selection in this book has been carefully curated, showcasing each type in various configurations, including fire trucks and cleaning vehicles, for which the NML was specifically developed. The book also provides a comprehensive overview of the various transport applications of the NML.

DAF F 95 en 95 XF - New Truck Generation

In August 1987, DAF expanded its heavy-duty truck lineup with a new model: the DAF 95. A robust addition to the DAF fleet, the new 95 marked the beginning of a series initially referred to as the New Truck Generation. DAF took a comprehensive approach, introducing a diverse range of trucks with the new F 249 cabin under the name "Concept 95." In 1988, the 95 series earned DAF the prestigious Truck of the Year title. Over 67,000 chassis of the DAF 95 were produced.

At the Brussels Motor Show in 1997, the 95XF was introduced as the successor to the DAF 95. The "XF" designation stood for eXtra Forte, representing more than just an update to the 95 series. Approximately 80% of the truck underwent a complete redesign. A decade after winning its first Truck of the Year title, DAF received the honor again in 1998 for the 95XF, with almost 79,000 chassis produced.

This book narrates the development of the 95 and 95XF series, which marked a significant success for DAF. It showcases the various configurations within both ranges. As of the book's writing in 2020, the F 249 cabin, in a substantially modified form, continues to be in production.

DAF YA 4440 /4442 Viertonner - Ontwikkeling en historie van een militair werkpaard

Few Dutch military personnel, both professional and conscripted, have not encountered the now-iconic four-tonner. As the days of this vehicle type are numbered after nearly half a century, many still harbor warm sentiments for the old and reliable 'tonner.'

This book covers the complete history of the DAF YA 4440 and YA 4442: from the decision in the mid-1960s to replace the then over ten-year-old vehicles of the 'Dikke DAF family,' to their use in the armed forces and the inevitable decommissioning.

xtensive attention is also given to the testing and further development of the prototypes, a process not without its challenges but ultimately resulting in an exceptionally versatile vehicle that served in all branches of the military.
