MZ
MZ owners and riders are a special band of motorcyclists; certainly on a par with those of any other marque. MZ's reputation has been built-up upon "value for money" for the road rider and success in motorcycle sport; notably road racing and long distance trials.
The magic of MZ was largely due to the involvement of Dipl. Ing. Walter Kaaden, who sadly passed away in 1996, aged 76 years. To Kaaden must go the title of the world's greatest ever 2-stroke engineer.
Of course, before MZ came DKW, an equally famous name, and really this book is the story of both these two great marques from Zschopau in Southern Saxony. The book also covers Simson and the new era with the Skorpion.
