Reggiane - Cronache di una grande fabbrica italiana
This book is not just a monograph on the Emilian and Italian national industrial history. Because the Officine Meccaniche Reggiane, which has always been known as the Reggiane, was not just a large and important factory that went through the social and economic seasons of the twentieth century. Not only "a company, work, technology, a place for social promotion, hope and struggle" as the historian Massimo Storchi recalls in the introduction to the volume.
Reggiane was much more and different: "a piece of the experience of a community that still feels part of that history and, in some way, the heir". The people of the Reggiane, the generations of workers who have succeeded one another in those now legendary warehouses - and still impressive to the visitor's eye - have profoundly changed not only their personal history, but the collective one as well.
