A-400M Atlas: in service with air forces around the world (Duke Hawkins)

Ce livre présente le dernier avion de transport militaire européen, l'Airbus A-400M Atlas. Conçu pour remplacer le C-130 Hercules et le C-160 Transall, l'A-400M est nettement plus grand que les deux précédents.

L'ouvrage propose un aperçu détaillé de l'avion, des ailes, du fuselage et de la queue aux trains d'atterrissage, moteurs et hélices. Il comprend de nombreuses photos "walkaround" montrant l'avion sous différents angles, ainsi que des photos d'action de l'A-400M en utilisation. Une section est dédiée au cockpit, et un autre chapitre aborde la maintenance de l'avion.

Faisant partie de la série "Aircraft in Detail", ce volume (n° 19) est le fruit d'une collaboration entre pilotes, techniciens aéronautiques et maquettistes. Il présente des photographies couleur de haute qualité, dont beaucoup n'ont jamais été publiées.
