Pfalz Aircraft of WW I

This book describes and illustrates the development of Pfalz aircraft in WWI, primarily fighter aircraft, with text, 530 photos, 28 in color, 81 color profiles, 10 color illustrations, production quantities and serial numbers of aircraft and aircraft dimensions and performance specifications.
In addition, 15 Pfalz aircraft types are illustrated in both 1/72 and 1/48 scale drawings.

This is a revised, enlarged edition of an earlier book published in 2001.

Pützer-Flugzeuge: Alfons Pützer KG, Pützer Kunststofftechnik KG (PKT), Sportavia-Pützer GmbH & Co. KG

Alfons Pützer gehört zu den Mitbegründern des bundesdeutschen Luftfahrzeugbaus der Nachkriegszeit. In beachtenswerter Weise gelang es Alfons Pützer in den schwierigen Jahren des Neuaufbaus der deutschen Luftfahrtindustrie auch ohne die wirtschaftliche Rückendeckung eines größeren Konzerns seinen privaten Luftfahrzeugbetrieb zu etablieren.

Schon zu Zeiten als in der jungen Bundesrepublik der Bau von Motorflugzeugen noch durch die Alliierten verboten war, entstanden im Pützerbetrieb in Bonn erste Segelflugzeuge, die bereits für eine spätere Motoraufnahme vorbereitet waren.
Sein erstes Motorflugzeug "Moraa" präsentierte Alfons Pützer nur wenige Tage nach der Aufhebung des Flugzeugbauverbots im Jahr 1955. Bekannt wurde Alfons Pützer mit seiner "Elster", die ab 1958 in Bonn in Serie gebaut wurde.

Am 3. August 2018 jährte sich der 100. Geburtstag von Alfons Pützer. Aus diesem Anlass widmen sich die Autoren mit dem vorliegenden Band dem Leben und Werk von Alfons Pützer, sowie der Geschichte seines Pützer Flugzeugbaus in Bonn und der von ihm in der Eifel mitbegründeten Sportavia-Pützer GmbH & Co KG auf der Dahlemer Binz.
