Boeing 727

Die dreistrahlige Boeing 727 ist ein Passagierflugzeug für Kurz- und Mittelstrecken. Bis zur Ablösung durch die 737 war sie eine Zeit lang das meistgebaute Düsenverkehrsflugzeug der Welt.

Die elegante Maschine erschloss den Airlines neue Märkte und war über mehrere Jahrzehnte auf fast allen Flughäfen der Welt anzutreffen. Auch die Lufthansa setzte diese Maschine ab 1964 mit über 50 Stück ein.
Aufgrund gestiegener Lärmschutzauflagen sowie des nicht mehr zeitgemässen Dreimann-Cockpits und Verbrauchs ist die 727 heute aus dem Passagier-Linienbetrieb nahezu verschwunden. Von den Frachtflugzeugen sind noch ca. 70 in Betrieb.
