The book provides a detailed account of the development history of the BM-21 Grad multiple rocket launcher, its chassis and artillery components, the ammunition used, and its combat employment.

Introduced into service with the Soviet Army in 1963, the BM-21 Grad became the most widely used rocket artillery system in the world. From the late 1960s, it was also operated by the Polish Armed Forces.
In 2021, Poland operated 98 BM-21 launchers, some of which were transferred to the Ukrainian armed forces in 2022.

The publication also covers the modernizations and further developments of the BM-21 Grad from 1970 to 2022.

The 122 mm WR-40 Langusta multiple rocket launcher is a detailed account of the modernization program of the BM-21 Grad systems introduced into Polish Army service in the late 1960s. The modernization has been carried out since 2006 by a consortium led by Huta Stalowa Wola. So far, 75 of the 150 BM-21 launchers have been upgraded.

The WR-40 Langusta uses the Polish Jelcz CZ 662D.35 6×6 chassis. In 2015, the improved WR-40 Langusta II on a Jelcz 8×8 chassis was presented, but it was not adopted for service.

The book is richly illustrated with photographs and 3D graphics.

The book describes the Soviet anti-tank missile systems 9K111 Fagot and 9K111-1 Konkurs. It presents the history of their development, construction of missiles and launchers, technical specifications, and combat use.

The 9K111 Fagot system and its larger version 9K111-1 Konkurs have greater range and weight but use the same launchers and sights. Their guidance system belongs to the second generation of anti-tank weapons. They were introduced to the Soviet Army in the 1970s and were subsequently sold to other countries, including Poland.

The book contains detailed technical and historical descriptions, information about combat use and export, comparison of both missile versions and their development, and presents second-generation anti-tank weapons systems.
