Alfa Romeo : All the Cars

The story of Alfa Romeo, the prestigious Italian marque which has created some of the most memorable cars of all time during its 100 year-plus history, is told by specification after specification in a 'virtual gallery' of many of the models produced by the company, both road-goers and racers.

The 1750 GS of the 1930s, the 8C 2900 B, the Giulietta, the Giulia, the 33s, the Alfettas right up to the most modern 8C Competizione are just some of the cars that find a place in this long catalogue in which the illustrations of Michele Leonello, the authoritative car designer, come together with the words of Lorenzo Ardizio, the expert on the history of Alfa Romeo.

Alfa Romeo 6C 2300 - 6C 2500 (3 Volumes with slipcase)

The "6C" series was without doubt one of the most successful in the great history of Alfa Romeo, starting from the victorious 6C1500 and 6C 1750 until the final evolution with the 6C 2500, the car became a predominantly "Gran Lusso" (luxury car) which was combined with the typical Alfa Romeo sports heritage.
It was a successful series that lasted nearly three decades, in all possible variants: two-seater racing cars, monumental ministerialsedans, "Gran Turismo" convertibles, colonial cars for the "Regio Esercito" (Royal Army" and sports coupes. Some were even modified for advertising vehicles and work vehicles as vans and "autoemoteche".

These were the years of the great Italian ateliers, and design was purely inspired by their infinite creativity, not yet subjected totoday's constraints, such as the size of the vehicle, the interior roominess, safety standards, cost reduction, rationalisation ofproduction cycles, economies of scale, etc.

This is a work of great commitment, a research work of over two years, which follows the path of this important Alfa Romeo model. Twenty years after the fundamental work of Angelo Tito Anselmi, Fabio Morlacchi and Stefano Salvetti deservedly take up the theme of the Alfa Romeo 6C 2300/2500, extraordinary cars that are already long collector's items.

A must for all alfisti in the world: the book on the Alfa Romeo 6C 2500. Three volumes, over 800 pages, hundreds of photos, many of them unpublished.

Alfa Romeo Monza : The Autobiography of a Celebrated 8C-2300 (Great Cars)

This book tells the remarkable history of an Alfa Romeo Monza and its characterful drivers and owners, some with life stories worthy of a movie script. Built in 1933, '2211130' was raced that year by the Hon Brian Lewis and won the arduous Mannin Moar race on the Isle of Man.

The car continued to be raced until the war by John Cobb (1934), Luis Fontes (1935), Anthony Powys-Lybbe (1936-37) and Fay Taylour (1938), at venues as diverse as Vila Real (Portugal) and Phoenix Park (Ireland).

Post-war, it passed through several significant collectors to arrive at its status today as one of the more important surviving Monzas, and a car with so much charisma and historic interest that it is a most worthy addition to the acclaimed 'Great Cars' series.

Alfa Romeo Coupes & Spiders in Detail since 1945

Few marques inspire such enthusiasm as Alfa Romeo, and among its most celebrated jewels are undoubtedly its coupes and spiders, the sportiest members of an already sporty Alfa family.

This book tells the full story of Alfa's two-door cars in the post-war era. It starts with the achingly handsome 6C 2500 and coachbuilt 1900s, followed by the glorious Giulietta Sprint, Spider and SZ.

Then comes the host of Giulia models, from Bertone's Sprint GT and Pininfarina's Duetto to the racing GTA and TZ. Add in some rare V8s - 33 Stradale and Montreal - plus the Alfetta GT and the monstrous SZ/RZ, and Alfa's rich heritage is indisputable.
It's all clearly detailed by a true authority on Italian cars, Chris Rees, editor of Auto Italia.
