AC Ace, Aceca, Greyhound (1953-1962) - Brooklands Road Test Portfolio
De AC Ace werd in 1953 aan een verrast publiek voorgesteld op de London autotentoonstelling. In de lente van 1954 reed het productie-prototype en in mei werden de eerste auto's aan klanten geleverd. Ace's verschenen al snel bij autosport evenementen. Bovendien werd in oktober de Aceca aangekondigd, in principe een Ace onderstel met een prachtig gevormde lichtmetalen coupé-carrosserie.
De Greyhound werd in 1959 geïntroduceerd, maar gezien het minder enthousiaste welkom werd de vormgeving van dit model herzien voordat de productie werd voortgezet. In 1961 werd de bevoorrading met de Bristol motor steeds moeilijker, waarna de Ace en Aceca met een Ford Zephyr 2.6 liter zescilinder werden aangeboden.
