Spanish Civil War Tanks - The Proving Ground for Blitzkrieg (Osprey)

The tanks used during the Spanish Civil War are not often examined in any great detail, and are often labeled as little more than test vehicles in a convenient proving ground before World War II. But, with groundbreaking research, armor expert Steven J Zaloga has taken a fresh look at the tanks deployed in Spain, examining how future tanks and armored tactics were shaped and honed by the crews' experiences, and how Germany was able to benefit from these lessons while their Soviet opponents were not.

Based on recently uncovered records of Soviet tankers in Spain and rare archival accounts, this book describes the various tanks deployed in Spain, including the PzKpfw I and the T-26.

A comprehensive and up-to-date study of the combat and logistics vehicles which formed part of the German contingent that fought in the Spanish Civil War alongside the rebels.
The Panzer I, which so surprised the world in the Polish campaign and initially equipped the German Panzerdivisionen, was first seen in the Spanish Civil War, together with a wide range of war materiel such as anti-tank guns, flamethrowers, and so on.

This book looks at a wide range of vehicles: from the humblest motorcycle to the Horch staff car; from Opel Blitz, MAN Diesel, Mercedes, and Krupp trucks to the enormous Vomag 3LR 443 truck; not forgetting all the different types of military ambulances seen in Spain during the war years.
Never has such a comprehensive, painstaking and graphical study been made of vehicles used by the German contingent in the Spanish Civil War. The book contains over 500 top quality images, most of them previously unpublished, with each model that served in Spain perfectly identified.

Panzer IV y Stug III - El grupo acorazado alemán del programa «Bär»

At the end of 1943 about twenty Panzerkampfwagen IV Ausf. H and a dozen Sturmgeschütz III Ausf. G arrived by train, forming what became known in military circles the "German Armoured Group".
Despite their small numbers, they were a breath of fresh air in the impoverished and very worn-out Spanish armoured fleet, all of which had come from foreign aid during the Spanish Civil War.

Two companies were formed with the tanks and integrated into the regiments "Alcazar de Toledo" No. 61 and "Brunete" No. 62 of the newly organised Teutonic model "Armoured Division".
After various reorganisations and their passage through the cavalry, the panzers were decommissioned in the early 1960s.

With the StuG III assault guns, an Experimental Battery was organised within the Artillery Application and Firing School (EATA), which remained operational until 1957, when it handed over its equipment.

This is the story of how the material was obtained and how it was used in the post-war Spanish Army.

This work is a guide to the vehicles used by the Spanish Army from 1953 to the present. From the Trumphy to the Dragon, this book contains the history of the different brands, accompanied by more than 100 plates and drawings representing the cars, trucks and armored cars, both wheeled and tracked, that have served in the Armed Forces over the last 70 years.

In addition, the history of military motorization in Spain from its beginnings in 1871 to 2021 is added. Finally, to understand the organization where these vehicles were framed, a brief summary of the history of the three armies has been incorporated from the entry of the twentieth century.

The book focuses above all on the cars and trucks that have served modestly over the years in the Armed Forces, although it does not forget to add all the armored vehicles and combat tanks that have accompanied them since 1953. In short, it is a basic visual guide to Spanish wheeled and tracked vehicles, written in a short, clear and concise way.

Esta obra es una guía de los automóviles utilizados por el Ejército español desde 1953 hasta la actualidad. Desde el Trumphy hasta el Dragón, este libro contiene la historia de las diferentes marcas, acompañada por más de 100 láminas y dibujos representando a los coches, camiones y blindados, tanto de ruedas como de cadenas, que han servido en las Fuerzas Armadas a lo largo de los últimos 70 años.

Además se añade la historia de la motorización militar en España desde sus inicios en 1871 hasta 2021. Finalmente, para entender la organización donde se encuadraban estos vehículos, se ha incorporado un breve resumen de la historia de los tres ejércitos a partir de la entrada del siglo XX.

El libro se centra sobre todo en los coches y camiones que han servido modestamente a lo largo de los años en las FAS, aunque no se olvida de añadir todos los blindados y carros de combate que los han acompañado desde 1953.

Guia de la Artilleria Española 1900-2020

Esta obra es una guía del material artillero más importante utilizado en España a lo largo del siglo XX-XXI, incluyendo piezas de campaña, costa, antiaéreas y navales. Es la recopilación más completa del arsenal reglamentario español realizada hasta la fecha, con 138 sistemas de armas, con sus correspondientes imágenes, tratados a lo largo de 100 páginas.

No pretende ser un estudio exhaustivo sobre el tema, más bien es un breve compendio donde cualquier persona puede consultar la historia, características y aspecto de las diferentes piezas de una forma rápida y rigurosa. Es una guía básica sobre la artillería española breve, clara y concisa.

Guía de la artillería de costa española 1900-2008

Esta obra es un recorrido por las antiguas baterías de artillería fortificadas que jalonan la costa española. Se reseñan la mayoría de las posiciones fijas que han sido usadas a lo largo del siglo XX en la península, islas y el Protectorado. E
n el libro se han estudiado 395 ubicaciones de artillería, con su historia y avatares. También se ha añadido la posición GPS de todas ellas para facilitar la visita a todo aquel lector interesado.

El texto contiene más de 800 imágenes, fotografías aéreas y planos de situación de los diferentes lugares, además de una pequeña reseña sobre la historia, los materiales y la organización de esta desconocida rama de la artillería española, desaparecida en 2008. La obra consta de 368 páginas, con las imágenes en blanco y negro.
