Henschel Lastwagen 1925-1974 (Typenkompass)
The iron foundry and machine factory, founded in Kassel in 1816, was one of the most important large companies in Germany and was renamed Henschel-Werke in 1957. The specialist in locomotive construction and armaments technology was taken over by what would later become Rheinstahl in 1964, before truck production was finally merged with that of Hanomag in 1969 and finally disappeared from the market in 1974.
Apart from these ups and downs, high-quality heavy-duty vehicles were produced under the brand logo with the six-pointed star, which are still remembered today. Today, Henschel is one of the icons of German commercial vehicle history.
