Der Mercedes-Benz 190 der Baureihe W 201 war eines der erfolgreichsten deutschen Automodelle der vergangenen Jahrzehnte. Mit knapp 1, 9 Millionen von 1982 bis 1993 produzierten Exemplaren brach er zahlreiche Produktionsrekorde. Es gab ihn mit Vier- und Sechszylinder-Benzinmotoren und mit Vier- und Fünfzylinder-Diesel-Triebwerken.
