VW Kübelwagen Typ 82

The VW Kübelwagen Type 82 was the most-produced vehicle of its type in Germany between 1940 and 1945. Developed by Ferdinand Porsche in 1938 from the civilian KdF-Wagen, the Type 82 became a workhorse on all fronts in World War II.

What set the VW Kübelwagen apart was its off-road capability, its relatively low development costs and its unproblematic operational capability even under difficult climatic conditions.

Illustrated with over 200 images, this documentation by Janusz Piekalkiewicz describes the development, technology and operational history.
