In this volume about the Maschinenfabrik Esslingen, Alexander Weber focuses on the trams that the Esslingen machine factory produced between 1868 and 1966.
The range of images extends from the Stuttgart-Berg horse-drawn tram to the most successful product of the Esslingen tram construction, the GT4 railcar. The second focus is on the funicular railways, which the manufacturer was also able to sell successfully abroad.
An excellent illustrated book with many previously unpublished photographs and at the same time a profound reference work.
