Au fil du Rhône en train
From the Swiss glaciers to the Camargue, the Rhône, initially a torrent, became a powerful river whose course has now been tamed.
Thanks to the furrow it dug in Switzerland and France, the railway was able to penetrate first into the heart of the Alps, then open up the path to the gates of the Mediterranean and the Orient in the northern regions of France.
The book presents this magnificent waterway and the railway lines that accompany it for almost its entire journey to the sea, with trains only leaving it to reach Marseille in the Bouches du Rhône department.
So, be careful when setting off on a train journey along the Rhône, in the Alps, on the shores of Lake Geneva, between the Massif Central and the Pre-Alps, and in the Provence.
